Area Information
Minto Brown Island Park is a 898.9 acre National Wildlife Refuge located just minutes from Downtown Salem. This area is well mapped and loaded full of trails and wildlife. Minto Brown Island Park is home to local and migrating raptors to herps like frogs, toads, and snakes.

Conservation of this precious city National Wildlife Reserve is really important to local species survival. Thousands of people come to visit this area weekly to enjoy nature and wildlife in the area. To maintain stability and a healthy envioronment, we ask that you please be sure to clean-up after yourself and others if needed.

Directions to Minto-Brown Island Park:
Coming from I-5 North or I-5 South, take the Mission Street exit and head west toward downtown Salem. Continue on Mission St. until it ends at Commercial St.  Take a left onto Commercial St., drive for four blocks and turn right onto Owens St. which is the next light.  Owens soon turns into River Road and the park entrance is a mile after that.
